What is required for salvation? Only Belief or belief followed by baptism?

Well there is a quote in the bible about this in the Gospels I just don't remember which one. You do not NEED baptism. You can be saved and go to heaven w/o baptism. Baptism is definately good though. It's a celebration of your faith. I was a Christian years before i was baptised (about a year and a half ago).
