Will it work?

I am a black female and i have some short black hairs growing under my chain an at the sides of my face. It is quite embbaring and out of desperation i put some bath room bleach on a serviette and dabbed it on the affected areas to kill the hair folicle. It stung a bit, do u think it will work to kill the hairs and stop it growing?
