Is Liberals' continual attention on Palin is part of a Divide and Conquer scheme?

Do liberals who still pay attention to Palin actually think she making actual headlines? Or are they trying to trick the same evangelical conservatives that went for Bush and Palin that she still has any relevance in politics and that she still have a snowball chance in hell of winning the presidency in 2012 so that Obama could have the presidency delivered on with his breakfast of the champions on a silver platter on election day 2012 (again) knowing how she turns the moderate conservatives who aren't besotted with her looks or her rhetoric off?
