I feel im being bullied and its making me really miserable. what can I do?

I moved to the United States from France because of my Dads work and aside from a two weeks at the beginning, my time here has been miserable. A group of girls have been making my time at school terrible for no reason except me being French. I was fine at the beginning, but then things changed. 2 boys had asked me out in the second week of school; I’d said I was just getting settled but doing something as friends would be nice. This seemed to set this group of girls off on me; they started making comments about me being ‘easy’ but I was just asked, that was it. Every time I speak they mock my accent, I hate speaking out in cl because I can always hear their laughing. It's hard to speak a second language all the time and this makes me really self-conscious. If I’m walking in the corridor, they’ll kick my heel to try to trip me up. I’ve always liked fashion, but I never wear anything now except plain clothes and I never wear dresses anymore, because they always take my clothes as an excuse to mock something. I feel miserable. I’ve met some nice people here, but these girls are making it impossible for me to enjoy anything. I’m afraid to tell a teacher because I think they won’t do anything because I’m foreign. I know that sounds stupid, but I just feel like that. I’m sorry if this seems like a bit of a rant; I just wanted to get it out. has anyone been in a situation like this? how can i deal with this and stop it happening? thanks for any advise

Why are American people a lot more friendlier and chatty than us English people...?

I'm not saying British/English people are unsociable, but not many people over here tend to start a conversation with you. I have noticed that when I'm out and about, people just don't acknowledge one another, they just look miserable and wary all the time. When I went to New York and Texas last year, loads of people wanted to get to know me, they would chat loads and be really sociable. I asked someone about why they are so warm and chatty all the time, and this lady told me that they are always like this, and it wasn't just because I was a foreigner. In the UK, if I went up to someone and asked them a question, they look at you as if you're an alien or something. Even when I go up to ask someone the time, they give me a look that basically says "Why are you bothering me" and it's stupid right? I like to get to know new people, especially people my own age (I'm 23). But people just don't seem to want to give you the time of day, well few people anyway. It's like everyone is in their own little bubble, comfortable with their own close knit group of friends, and don't want to break out of that bubble.

Vets barely scratch nutrition in school therefore are a shot in the blind as far as nutrition goes (which is why most of the sell Science Diet). Omega 3 is ALWAYS good, never be afraid of Omega 3! But, some dog vitamins have too much calcium. I give my dogs a daily vitamin but I don't give them daily, lol. I give them once a week. 50mg of calcium is a lot if your dog has a diet that already supplies all the calcium it needs daily (like my dog's diet because I feed raw)...see what I mean? Most dog foods also give a dog all the calcium required because dog food companies dump vitamins and minerals in dog food because after it's been cooked twice at high heat most of the vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids have been burned off rendering dog food with nearly no nutritional value. The way I put it is dog food keeps the dog's stomach feeling full and the vitamins and minerals that they dump into the dog food keeps him alive.

The Scotch Fur Fighter has rubber bristles on it...it works much better than the lint brushes or rollers. Any rubber bristled brush will do a better job...I have a brush that has some very soft rubber bristles, about 3/4 inch long that does a wonderful job where the vacuum or lint roller won't. Why are schools so ungrateful ? you would think that every little bit would help right?

My sons school were holding a recycled paper scrap project, the idea was that they could collect paper and do paper mache decorations, nice idea right? well in my house we are fairly illiterate and don't encourage reading as we believe that it is basically over rated so were unable to provide little Tommy.... then it hit me !! we could help... for weeks i refused to allow anyone in the household to flush good toilet paper down the pan, we tirelessly collected the used paper in a dustbin by the door, transferring to a black bag in a dry place for storage, it was hard..... the smell was hard to get used to at first but for little Tommys school we managed and persevered through everything. We just knew we had to help. On the day that we delivered it to the school we were so proud to see all the children walking in with their offerings , Little Tommys offering was by far the biggest !! We watched him as he walked through the doors turning one last time to wave... we were the happiest parents ever... at last we could show the school how much we were willing to make an effort in return for their tireless teaching off Tommy. However, just thirty minutes later the school phoned me, i could hear Tommy in the background crying and they asked me if i could pick up both Tommy and the unwanted paper. Tommy was awful upset that they didn't want his contribution and i feel like they are picking him out from the other children... should i make a complaint?

My keyboard types numbers instead of letters?

i have a lenovo laptop and on the keyboard it includes the number pad on the right hand side. i know when u press num lock it stops the numbers from coming, but since i already have a number pad my keyboard letters don't type in numbers instead. i know its confusing. on specific programs like skype and g mail.. my WHOLE keyboard types in using numbers. i don't get how to fix it,, i've tried playing around with fn - num lock. and fn - scroll key. but it won't help.

Marines Open Contract?

Alright so this is probably one of my last questions for a while but here we go. I dep'd in to the USMC just last sunday. We built a cage(plastic mesh on a wood frame) around ours. It helped to a large extent but some birds managed to get under the mesh. Then they were too stupid to get back out and we had to open the door for them. Then they didn't have the sense to fly out, they kept flying around the cage so we had to go in the cage and chase them out. Also rabbits would chew through the mesh and climb up the tree(yes, rabbits are good climbers) and eat the figs. Don't bother with those nets they sell to d over your trees. The birds will get into them(and once again they don't know how to get out).

I am the mother of a 13 year old son who is gifted in athletics as well as academics. My question is ,how many sporting activities with overlapping practices should be allowed at any one given time? His team just finished up with youth football December 8,he went directly from football to basketball practices without let up,he is practicing 4x a week,playing 1 to 3 games a week for his middle school(actually he is just a fair basketball player), but a state placer in wrestling many times over as well as the MVP and Offensive Player Of The Year in football,but now that our City Youth Wrestling Program has started he is receiving calls from his wrestling coaches who are kind of "pushing" him to wrestle for them (he has wrestled with them for years but decided to try basketball instead this year and forgo wrestling til High School,does anyone think it is realistic that this kid would be able to maintain this rigorous schedule and still maintain a 3.8 G.P.A? Tournaments are on Sundays!

About 2 months ago I started hitting the gym 5 days a week, 1-2 hours, taking different cles. I originally started with just doing cardio on the treadmil or eliptical and then lifting free weights or doing the floor machines. After a while, I graduated to a cyclying cl and then zumba. I started doing both almost daily and eventually felt like I had hit a plateau. Now I have switched up my exercise and incorporated yoga, kickboxing, and power pump...in addition to an occasional cycling and zumba. My question is this: what should I be doing to take care of my muscles and body in general while I'm putting it through this much exercising. By the end of the week, I am drained and very fatigued. Please help!

Guinea Pig Odor Problem?

I use cotton rugs for my pigs and puppy pads under the rugs. Baking soda is a wonderful natural odor absorber and harmless to the pigs. Sprinkle a little bit between the fleece and the newspaper and it should keep the odor down. Some people have luck litter training guinea pigs, but mine won't use one. If you do, make sure you use non-clumping litter so it doesn't stick to them when they use the bathroom. Hope this helps a little! Good luck!

I'm a freshman and I'm really struggling in Algebra II. I've been catching up well in previous chapters, but now we're on the quadratics and I'm soooo confused... How do I edit photos in Photoshop V.6 and GIMP?

Alright well what you are first going to do in order to open things in Photoshop is right click a photo that you want to edit. And select "Open With" and select Adobe Photoshop 6. If it doesnt appear in the list, click "Browse" and find it. Now take notice of a few things. First, in the bottom right hand corner there is a box with layers in it. This is important for your sin city theme. Second, look at the tools in the toolbar located along the left side of the screen. Everything is pretty self explanatory except the Sponge/Burn tool with you probably wont be needing during this project anyways. The tools that you will most likely use are the magnetic lo tool. This is your best friend. This tool allows you to highlight different items based on color , so if you are only trying to get this one red object that is surrounded by blue objects all you have to do is click on an edge of the object and release then (not holding down the mouse) move your mouse in a circle around the item. Once completely around, click your starting point and your object will now be selected. Right click and select Copy as a new layer. Now back to the layers box. Select the BACKGROUND layer and now go into Tools, on the top Navigation Bar,I believe (Sorry this is all from memory, I am away from my normal computer right now. So if its not in TOOLS, then explore some of the other Menu choices on the top bar. ) And select Convert image to black and white. A screen will pop up and you can toy with the contrast and amounts of green in the image and what not, but once your happy, select OKAY and Walaaaa -- A sin city themed photo. Good Luck :)

OH MY GOSH! You sound like you look like me! Big green eyes, too many lashes, single-color lips, freckles, pale skin, brown hair. Okay, I don't wear a ton of make up. I wear a tiny bit of gray eyeliner (Covergirl Perfect Poin Plus, 205 charcoal) in the outer corners of my eyes, a little bit of black mascara (Sephora Lash Plumper, black) on top, a tiny bit of blush (Covergirl Cheekers Blush, 180 Brick Rose) on the apples of my cheeks blended in really well, and a tiny dab of concealer (Covergirl trublend, 1, 410 Clic Ivory) under my eyes to brighten my ugly dark circles. The only kind of lipgloss that I've come across that actually shows up is Wet n Wild Mega Slicks, any color. Lip stains and lip sticks suck, to be honest. Some times, if I'm feeling... spontaneous, I use a tiny bit of purple or brown eye shadow, but not a lot and not often, really. THE END!

My friend and I are 12. Her sister is 5. My friend is called Mel, her sister is Jessica. They moved Germany, so they sometimes come to visit us. Her parents saw this once, but they just said it 'Jessie, dont do that, sweetie', then when she broke it, they just said 'Oh, Jessie, look! You just broke it!', in a calm, sweet tone. Her family dont seem to have a clue that I dont like it when she walks into my room without permission, slaps my cat, breaks my stuff, lies to me etc! What should I do? Calcium deposits coming from faucet. What can I do to fix this problem?

I have chunks of off-white deposits coming out of my faucet. I have emptied the faucet filter twice in the last month in the bathroom farthest from the main water pipe because of the acualtion of the deposits. I believe that it is calcium due to the hard water content of the area I live in (Southern Nevada). The house is only 10 yrs old but then again so is our water heater. I contracted HSV about 4 years ago from my current boy friend. He had a cold sore (caused by oral and contagious) on his mouth and gave me while he has it... we didn't know any better at the time. I would rather not have either but some times bad things happen to good people. HSV and HPV are not a death sentence (unless you have one of the types of HPV that causes cervical cancer), you can still do all that you want with your life. If you can try to forgive your ex specially if he didn't know about it, that may help you to move on and it's not healthy to hold a grudge. It's hard to accept these things but it does get better as you accept it. All I can say is give it time, it took me a couple of months to get over what I like to call the "why me" stage and accept what I have. I've downloaded several videos from a filesharing software, but I can't seem to play the avi files. The flv file won't seem to have any problem. For those of you who do not believe in the power of prayer. i was driving in a snowstorm. For those of you who live in PA (Pennsylvania) you know they dont clear our roads well at all. I skidded on a piece of ice. i was traveling 15 mph so i wasnt speeding at all. All of a sudden i lost control of my car. there was a man who was standing outside of his car because he went off in a ditch. i was heading right for him. i pinned him from his waist down between my car and his car. i was freaking out. there was no way to pull this man out of the cars. i just got out calmed myself to a point. I laid my hands on the man and just starting praying for this man. Minutes later the man walked out between the two cars and thank God he only suffered a bruised knee. There was no way that man should of walked out of those two cars let alone only suffering a bruised knee. The Lord answers prayers. and the power of prayer is as real as the moon and stars. It all started when we went to a welcome back party for my husband at his parents house. I had a headache so I took what I thought was tylenol, and it ended up being E. I was talking with my father in law, and one thing led to another, and we ended up going into another room, and having . While we were in the middle of it my husband walked in and caught us. I'm sure that since I'm pregnant that it will even complicate things worse. I just don't know what else I can do to try to get him to forgive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hey yeah, I'm having similar problems with my older macbook pro. I love logic, and use it professionally but it really does work best (especially the latest version) on new macs. Anyhow, I would recommend you try Reaper. It is free to try and very inexpensive why you do buy it. It's way less memory and processor intensive than Logic, but doesn't come with a bunch of software instruments and plug-ins like Logic does. But it does support most plug-in formats out there and many are free! Also, despite it not having built in software instruments if all you are doing is recording and sequencing then Reaper provides more than enough capability.

Why won't my 4 (nearly 5) year old eat?

She ate 2 bites of her breakfast, none of her lunch, and insisited that she was not hungry at supper time. She did eat 2 hershey's miniatures around 1:00 today.
